Purchase policies

Purchase Terms

These are the purchase terms acknowledged when reserving a Custom Container Living home online. They are shown here in full so you can review them before you begin. If anything on this page differs from your executed construction agreement, the construction agreement controls.

Reservation Cancellation and Refund

The 5% reservation deposit is fully refundable until the construction agreement is executed. If the construction agreement is not executed within five business days after the deposit is paid, the reservation will expire and CCL will refund the deposit to the original payment method, unless the customer and CCL agree in writing to extend the review period.

Nonrefundable Deposit

Once the customer and CCL execute the construction agreement, the reservation deposit becomes nonrefundable and will be applied to the purchase price, except as otherwise provided in the executed construction agreement or required by applicable law.

Deposit Credit

The 5% reservation deposit will be credited toward the first 25% contractual payment. After the construction agreement is executed, CCL will invoice the remaining balance needed to complete the first 25% payment, and that balance will be due within seven calendar days.

Final Pricing

The price displayed at checkout represents the selected home’s standard base-model configuration based on the information entered. The final contract price will reflect the project location, required state or code packages, customer selections, optional upgrades, delivery and installation charges, approved changes, applicable taxes and any other amounts specifically identified in the construction agreement.

Delivery and Site-Work Exclusions

Unless specifically itemized as included, the displayed base price does not include transportation, delivery, crane or installation services, foundation work, site preparation, grading, landscaping, underground utilities, utility connections, decks, porches, canopies, permits, local inspections, taxes or other work performed at the customer’s property.

Customer Site Responsibilities

Unless the construction agreement states otherwise, the customer is responsible for securing a suitable property; confirming zoning and land-use approval; providing an accessible and prepared site; obtaining site-related permits and approvals; completing the foundation, utility and other site work; and ensuring the property is ready for delivery and installation according to CCL’s requirements.

Estimated Production Timeline

Any production or delivery timeframe shown on the purchase page is an estimate and is not a guaranteed completion or delivery date. The production schedule will be established after the construction agreement is executed, required payments and approvals are received, selections are finalized and CCL confirms production availability. The schedule may be adjusted as permitted by the construction agreement.

Change Orders and Material Adjustments

Changes requested after the construction agreement is executed may require a written change order and may affect the contract price and production schedule. The customer is responsible for approved change orders, customer-requested additions and any material cost adjustments expressly authorized by the construction agreement.

Final Payment Before Delivery

The final 25% payment, together with all approved change orders, customer additions, authorized material adjustments and other outstanding balances, is due when production is complete. CCL will not schedule or release the home for delivery until the final payment has been received and cleared.

Lender-Funded Projects

Customers using a construction loan or other approved financing may follow a lender-approved draw schedule if CCL agrees to that schedule in writing. The customer remains responsible for coordinating with the lender and ensuring that all required funds are received by CCL at the agreed production milestones.

Limited Warranty

Any warranty covering the home will be governed exclusively by the written limited warranty and warranty provisions provided with or referenced in the construction agreement. The purchase page does not expand, replace or create any warranty beyond those written terms.

Construction Agreement Controls

The purchase page, Design Studio selections and reservation process are intended to begin the purchase and design process. The executed construction agreement, together with its exhibits, approved plans, specifications and written change orders, will contain the final terms of the transaction and will control if any information on the purchase page conflicts with those documents.

Base Model Configuration

The displayed price represents the selected home’s standard base-model configuration for the project location entered. The customer may proceed with the standard configuration without selecting optional upgrades. State-specific requirements, delivery, installation, foundation, site work, permits, utility connections, taxes and customer-requested changes are not included unless specifically stated.

Design Studio and Optional Upgrades

After placing the deposit, the customer will complete the CCL Design Studio and work with CCL to finalize finishes, features and available upgrades. Optional selections will be added to the base price and incorporated into the final construction agreement. The deposit will be credited toward the first payment required under that agreement.
