Refund & Cancellation Policy

The 5% Down Payment is applied toward the purchase price of your home.

Prior to execution of the Construction Agreement, the Down Payment may be cancelled and refunded in accordance with the terms presented at the time of purchase.

Once the Construction Agreement has been signed, all sales are final and the Down Payment is nonrefundable.

Additional payment, cancellation, and contractual terms are governed by the executed Construction Agreement.

The sections below explain how the Down Payment works in practice. They summarize the CCL Purchase Terms and payment schedule presented in full at checkout. If anything on this page differs from your executed Construction Agreement, the Construction Agreement controls.

The 5% down payment

Reserving a home online requires a down payment equal to 5% of the configured home price shown at checkout. The configured home price includes the base model price and any state-required compliance or weather package for your project state. Delivery is estimated separately and is not part of the 5% down payment.

Credited toward your home purchase price

The 5% down payment is not an additional fee. It is credited toward the first 25% contractual payment for your home. After your construction agreement is executed, CCL invoices the remaining balance needed to complete that first 25% payment, and that balance is due within seven calendar days.

When the down payment is refundable

The 5% down payment is fully refundable until your construction agreement is executed. If the construction agreement is not executed within five business days after the payment is made, the reservation expires and CCL refunds the payment to the original payment method — unless you and CCL agree in writing to extend the review period.

When the down payment becomes nonrefundable

Once you and CCL execute the construction agreement, the down payment becomes nonrefundable and is applied to the purchase price, except as otherwise provided in the executed construction agreement or as required by applicable law.

Cancellations

To cancel before your construction agreement is executed, contact CCL and your down payment will be refunded to the original payment method. After the construction agreement is executed, cancellation is governed by that agreement rather than by this page.

Payment methods, processing and failed payments

Card payments. Card payments are processed immediately through CCL's secure payment processor. CCL never stores your card details, and no credit-card surcharge or service fee is added to your payment.

Bank transfer / ACH. ACH bank debits are initiated immediately but can take several business days to clear. Your reservation is recorded as processing until the bank confirms the payment, and CCL emails you again once it has settled.

Failed payments. If a card is declined or an ACH debit is returned, your reservation is not funded. CCL emails you so you can retry the payment; retrying does not change the amount, the terms you acknowledged or your place in CCL's process.

Refunds. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Card refunds typically post within a few business days; ACH refunds are returned to the same bank account.

Payment schedule

Your home is paid in defined stages: 5% at reservation, the balance of the first 25% after the construction agreement is signed, 25% before production begins, 25% at the documented halfway point of production, and the final 25% plus any approved adjustments upon production completion and before delivery is scheduled. The full schedule, including each milestone and refundability note, is displayed on every model reservation page before you reach checkout.

Estimates are not guarantees

Prices, delivery estimates and the Estimated Ready-to-Ship Date shown during reservation are estimates based on the information entered. Your final contract price and project schedule are established in the construction agreement.
